Frequently Asked Questions

What is LuckyCoin?

LuckyCoin is an ERC20 token on the Ethereum network. Every week new coins are generated in a random wallet, while the amount of the other wallets is untouched. The amount of newly generated coins is proportional to the wallet balance with a variable ratio ranging between 1x and 1,000x.

Can I lose my LuckyCoins?

No. If your wallet address is not selected for the weekly coin generation, your LuckyCoin amount will stay the same. In other words, your LuckyCoin amount will never decrease, it can only increase.
Anyway, be aware that the market value of LuckyCoin can be extremely volatile. Any investment in LuckyCoins or other cryptocurrencies may result in the loss of your money.

Are there fees?

No. There are only the normal fees of the Ethereum network when you transfer the coins. This is a fee that is paid to the Ethereum miners, and it is common to all ERC20 tokens. We do not get any fee or commission.
There are no fees for simply holding the coins in your wallet.

Where do the newly generated coins come from?

LuckyCoin is a cryptocurrency, new coins are generated from thin air. So, like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and even USD, the circulating total supply of LuckyCoins will grow over time. LuckyCoin is designed to have a mean annual growth rate of 13.86%. This means that the total supply will double roughly every 5 years.

Is the random wallet selection really random?

Yes it is. You can look at the source code, or at the whitepaper.

Who is running the random wallet selection and the coin generation activities?

LuckyCoin is decentralized, and runs on the Ethereum network. All the operations are executed automatically in the blockchain. Nobody can stop or alter them (not even us).

How is the amount of newly generated coins calculated?

The amount of new coins is equal to the selected wallet amount multiplied by the “Coin generation ratio”, which is shown at the top of this page.
The coin generation ratio is equal to the total number of wallets multiplied by 0.0025. This means that if there are 400 active wallets the coin generation ratio is 1x, if there are 4000 wallets it is 10x, and so on. Moreover, the coin generation ratio's minimum value is 1x, and its maximum value is 1.000x. If the calculated value is greater than 1.000x, then more wallets will be selected.
In case of the selection of a wallet with a big amount of coins, the new coin generation could cause a sudden great devaluation of LuckyCoin (rug pull). To solve this problem we limited the maximum coin generation amount to 5% of the total LuckyCoin supply.

When will the weekly coin generations start?

The coin generations will start when the ICO is over.
